Pakistan Christian Welfare Society “PCWS”
Since the very creation of Pakistan (and even before) the role of Pakistani religious minorities has been eminent and commendable in nation building and social welfare. A good proportion of social development in the country can be attributed to the contributions of Non-Muslims in areas such as education, health and other political, social and cultural fields.
Christians make up around 1.6 per cent of Pakistan’s overwhelmingly Muslim population, with large settlements across major cities and more than 200,000 in Islamabad.
The city of Islamabad was built during the 1960s to replace Karachi as Pakistan’s capital. The talented Pakistani Christians also migrated all across the country to the new capital city Islamabad to play their role to contribute the overall socio-economic development.
