Since its inception, PCWS has remained committed to serving society through initiatives aimed at community development, social welfare, and empowerment. Established with the vision of promoting equality, dignity, and social justice, PCWS emerged as a platform to address the social, educational, and economic challenges faced by marginalized communities. From its early days, the organization has focused on creating awareness, providing support services, and building partnerships that help communities grow and thrive.
Over the years, PCWS has expanded its efforts through educational programs, capacity-building activities, community outreach, and advocacy for inclusive development. By collaborating with public institutions, civil society organizations, and community leaders, PCWS strives to create opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen social cohesion. Guided by the principles of compassion, integrity, and service, PCWS continues to work towards building a more inclusive, informed, and resilient society.
Registration and Legal Status
PCWS was initially registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (as adopted in 1961 in Pakistan), which provided the organization with a formal legal framework to operate as a non-profit welfare body dedicated to community service and social development. This registration enabled PCWS to carry out its welfare activities in an organized and transparent manner while adhering to the legal and regulatory requirements governing voluntary organizations in the country.
With the evolving regulatory framework for non-profit and charitable organizations in Pakistan, PCWS has aligned its legal status with the contemporary requirements and is now registered under the Federal Charities Registration and Regulation Act, 2021. This registration reflects the organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance while continuing its mission of serving communities and promoting social welfare.
